Professor Xuan-Ming Duan and Dr. Meiling Zheng at the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) visited Photonics Center, Osaka University. The photo shows, from the left, Prof. Kawata, the executive director, Kyoko Masui a graduate student, Dr. Meiling Zheng at CAS and Prof. Duan. The double degree program has been executed by the postgraduate cooperation and education programs between the Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University and the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, CAS. Meiling Zheng acquired the degree (engineering) from Osaka University in September, 2010. She already acquired the degree (science) in China, and thus is the first student who completes the double degree program between Osaka University and CAS. Kyoko Masui also executes the double degree program.
